a fictional bubblegum pop band from Archie Comics that was inspired by The Monkees. similar wall of sound and 3D layering of instruments with a nice groove to it.
can put on and drive to the ice cream parlor or throw on an outfit and pretend like you're a character in Austin Powers.
some say they were the originators of the K-pop concept, but the accreditation and en-dash were lost in translation since they had to call it A-pop.
then the A-punk wave happened and it was all lost to music history.

i was pretty surprised the first time i listened to this album in summer of 2023 while walking through sf ~

i thought they were just a lame one hit wonder band that the oldies force fed us. my bad crew!
