aight, this one goes out to all the hot (and often bothered) single moms + single dads who are left to raise a fuckass son by their lonesome.
it teaches skills + perspectives you learn from a kind wise art teacher. taught both visually + textually.
and hey look, it’s on sale right now ⋆.˚⟡ ࣪ ˖
familiar with the subject matter from design + art schools. picked up this graphic novel during the peak of my burnout so i couldn’t even read that thing fully. lol.
but the images and text help, even if they don’t fully absorb it. and Nick Sousanis wrote this for his daughter. so that all technically makes this p appropriate for most brains.
but you should skim it first to be sure.

hmm. i think it’s interesting to see patterns of young designers and artists starting a creative endeavor but then getting sad or frustrated when they have to leave it or get distracted.
nah, that’s normal.
sometimes [things] are more important than creating and expressing. and sometimes [you] just needed to pickup random skills + perspectives before [you] can move on to what [you] really want to do. just try to leave it nice ~ in a way that [you] can return to it later and pickup where [you] left off.
or figure out a way to sprinkle it into your life to scratch an itch. don’t need to be perfect if it’s just for you.
cause we will always be returning to [it].
..i also think it’s silly when well intentioned people recommend full ass reference books to people when they’re in a crisis, don’t you know americans can’t read sometimes :)
